The Nigeria Football Federation on Thursday commiserated with Super Falcons head coach Florence Omagbemi over the death of her son on Wednesday, reports
In a heartfelt condolence message on its Twitter account, the NFF sent its condolences to the onetime Nigeria’s women national football team captain.
“Our prayers are with @NGSuper_Falcons Head Coach, Florence Omagbemi who lost her son, Samson, on Wednesday. May his soul rest in peace,” the message read.
The Nigerian football fraternity have been remembering in recent days the unfortunate deaths of football icons like Stephen Keshi and Shaibu Amodu.
The NFF had also in recent times spared thoughts on the 30 Manchester United fans who died in Calabar as a high tension electricity pole fell on them while watching an Europa League quarter-finals game between Manchester United and Abderlecht on April 20, 2017, a game United won 2-1.
